The International Astroparticle Physics Symposium: The High Energy Frontier (IAPS 2008) will be held on May 6-8, 2008, in Golden, Colorado, and will be hosted by the Colorado School of Mines (CSM). The focus of the Symposium will be to examine the state and the future of the field of high-energy Astroparticle Physics. Details regarding abstract submission, registration, housing, travel, and meeting schedule are provided below, and are also available on the Symposium website at

The list of invited speakers will appear shortly after the distribution of this circular in the
website under "Program".

Due to the size of the venue and other restrictions, the number of participants will be limited to 150. Hence, we strongly encourage participants to register early.

The Symposium will consist of invited presentations and contributed talks. Contributed talks will be selected based on abstract submission and evaluation by members of the International Advisory Board. Abstracts should be submitted electronically at the meeting website. Please use the templates provided and create a PDF file ready to upload. Follow the upload link on the website, and use the username: IAPS08 and password: physics08 to log in to the secure upload area. The deadline for abstract submission is February 29th, 2008.

Registration for the meeting may be completed at the meeting website. Payment of the registration fee may be made on-line using a major credit card or by check. The registration fees are:

Regular Attendees
- $265 on or before March 28, 2008
- $325 after March 28, 2008

Graduate Students
- $205 on or before March 28, 2008
- $265 after March 28, 2008

The registration fee covers the cost of meeting participation, lunches, and coffee breaks, as well as the Reception on May 6 and the Banquet on May 7.

Visa approval for visitors to the United States can be lengthy; therefore, we urge international participants to check entry requirements and begin the necessary paperwork well in advance of the Symposium.

Blocks of rooms have been reserved at two nearby hotels. The Table Mountain Inn is within walking distance of the Symposium venue. The Hampton Inn is about 3 miles away. Although a limited shuttle service will be available from this hotel, car-pooling is encouraged. Participants should make their own reservations with the hotels. See the "Lodging information" link in the "Travel Info" section for more information.

The Symposium will begin on Tuesday, May 6, at 8:45AM and conclude on Thursday, May 8, at approximately 5:30PM. The Symposium venue will be in Berthoud Hall in the newly remodeled Room 241. A Reception will be held at the CSM Geology Museum at the end of the first day. The Reception will be followed by a public lecture. The Symposium Dinner will be held on Wednesday, May 7, at the Ship Rock Grill, located in the scenic Red Rocks Park and Amphitheatre.
