The Corporate Outreach Program at the Colorado School of Mines
is designed to meet the requests of corporations and government
agencies to conduct educational programs at the employer's site.
All educational offerings are highly flexible and customized
to meet the agency's needs. One very successful program administered
by the Corporate Outreach Program is the Native American Energy and Minerals Institute.
The Native American Energy and Minerals
Institute
The Native American Energy and Minerals Institute (NAEMI) at
the Colorado School of Mines is designed to familiarize tribal
natural resource managers with the fundamentals of energy and
mineral resource management on reservation lands.
The program consists of a series of intensive non-credit
short courses and field programs representing a comprehensive
body of knowledge related to energy and mineral development on
Indian lands.
The programs are supported through funding from
the U. S. Department of the Interior, Office of Indian Affairs.
NAEMI instructors are selected from the ranks of the Colorado
School of Mines faculty, adjunct faculty members, and qualified
personnel from industry, business, and government. NAEMI courses
are delivered on the Colorado School of Mines campus in Golden,
Colorado.
